Accurate and Intuitive Communication

Linear-Based Modeling
MIDAS CIM allows linear generation of civil structures such as roads and railways, taking into account factors like alignment and slope. It offers the capability to generate linear data not only from direct input but also from various data sources used both domestically and internationally, including DWG, RP/RD data, and Landxml data. MIDAS CIM is based on linear information, supporting the modeling of structures like bridges and tunnels, and providing an environment where structures are automatically updated when linear information changes.
Rebar Modeling
In MIDAS CIM, rebar modeling is done in a way that represents rebars in a 2D environment, similar to actual design practices, and arranges them in the 3D model. This approach allows for modeling structural rebar components such as main rebars, distribution rebars, and shear rebars, as well as considerations for elements like hooks, splicing of rebars, and couplers. MIDAS CIM efficiently handles rebar objects only at the reference level, while the arranged rebars are treated graphically, ensuring that the model's speed and performance are not compromised even for complex rebar arrangements.
Subsoil Modeling Function Without Reverse Phenomenon
MIDAS CIM can create subsoil layers using Boring Data from the borehole diagram or point data from 2D drawings. The subsoil generation method in MIDAS CIM utilizes relative heights to reference the shape of the bedrock, thus enabling the creation of subsoil layers without reverse phenomena. Moreover, in areas where subsoil data is absent, interpolation based on the bedrock allows for the creation of natural subsoil layers that consider variations in the bedrock's profile. Subsoil layers can be calibrated using survey data, similar to the bedrock.
World-Class Slope Modeling Function
MIDAS CIM can automatically generate appropriate cut/fill slope shapes by inputting slope gradients and widths of slopes and berms, considering changes in adjacent slope berms, and addressing various practical situations where the number of berms between adjacent slopes may vary. It helps create the most suitable slope shapes for different practical scenarios.

Furthermore, when the alignment changes, the model's shape, drawings, quantities, and analysis models are all updated.
Sustainable Library Structure
MIDAS CIM combines detailed library elements to complete the entire model. You can choose the library structure according to the characteristics of each model and proceed with modeling. Once a model is completed, it can be transformed into various forms through parameters, alignments, and more, making it continuously usable as modeling material. These accumulated library models can be used as assets for design companies and individuals, ensuring continuous utilization.
Highly Utilizable Parametric Function
MIDAS CIM provides a User Parameter function that allows you to use parameters during the modeling process. Parameters are user-defined operations for numerical values, such as lengths, within the program, allowing users to control them. Libraries created using User Parameter functions can be easily modified in shape as desired, enabling use in similar projects.

With simple input such as span, member dimensions, tendon information, and cable quantities, it automatically generates 3D information models at the preliminary design level. Currently, six templates are provided, and libraries are available in the product's catalog. Additionally, standard BIM libraries provided on the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology (KICT) website are compatible with CIM, allowing smooth utilization. Libraries include unit structures for various bridge components, retaining walls, abutments, and piers, as well as common objects used in civil engineering.

The generated drawings are integrated with MIDAS CAD INFRA-DESIGN for further CAD work, such as dimension lines and material tables. Once created, drawings are updated in response to changes in the model, minimizing repetitive work.
Interference Check/Clash Check
During the collaborative process of building a 3D model, interference and overlaps may occur due to various issues such as coordinate errors for merging, and user modeling errors. These interferences and overlaps can lead to quantity errors and construction delays, so they need to be thoroughly reviewed. MIDAS CIM provides an interference and overlap check function, making it easy to modify interfered rebars.
Staging and Quantity Estimation
MIDAS CIM can split the completed 3D model into various parts by construction stages, allowing for quantity calculations. The calculated quantities are saved as Excel data. Quantity calculation items and formats can be saved as templates, allowing quantity updates without additional work when design changes occur.

The extracted analysis model from MIDAS CIM is integrated with the MIDAS CIVIL NX model, including section/material and boundary condition information, significantly reducing the time required compared to the point-based modeling method used in MIDAS CIVIL NX. Additionally, you can convert a MIDAS CIVIL NX model into a MIDAS CIM model and use an existing MIDAS CIVIL NX model for 3D comparison, and more. The update function ensures that modifications in the 3D model are also reflected in the analysis model.
Integration with FEA NX and Detailed Analysis Model
You can extract model information for areas requiring detailed analysis from the 3D model and export it in Parasolid(x_t, x_b) format. The extracted shape file can be loaded into MIDAS FEA NX to create meshes, set boundary conditions, loads, and perform analyses.
Integration with GTS NX and Ground Model
MIDAS CIM allows you to import slope and subsoil shapes modeled in MIDAS CIM into GTS NX for geotechnical stability analysis, among other geotechnical analyses. The created ground shape model includes subsoil material conditions and can be imported into GTS NX. Use MIDAS CIM to easily create ground shape models and conduct geotechnical analyses.
Integration with Other Programs via IFC
3D models created in MIDAS CIM can generally be integrated with other programs through the IFC file format. The IFC model exported from MIDAS CIM is fully compatible with other integrated model management programs (Navisworks), including the structure classification system and quantity information system defined for quantity calculation and construction simulation.
